What I Love Most About Working with Authors

I have been blessed to be surrounded by many entrepreneurs growing up, including both of my parents, grandparents, and even my great-grandparents. They all have incredible stories that would never otherwise be told and I love the opportunity to bring these stories to life.

Selfishly, I appreciate the opportunity to learn from these subject matter experts and apply their lessons to my life and business.

Where in the Process I Work with Authors

I work with authors in the publishing and distribution phase. I coordinate with the authors so that they have everything they need to sell their on their website and in book retailers. Most of the work I do is in the background, like building tools used by Catherine and Bailey, as well as bringing in new authors. I view my main job as supporting Catherine and Bailey in the work they do to make the process as smooth and impactful as possible for our authors.

What Led Me to The Skinny

My background shows a common theme of entrepreneurship. I started my first business at nineteen; I worked to deploy 5G hardware in rural communities, which ultimately did not work out due to complications around COVID.

From that point on, I spent the next couple of years exploring a couple of opportunities. Coincidentally, The Skinny is the one project I did not originally plan to turn into a business. I just wanted to help my dad tell his story, but in conversations with him and other entrepreneurs around him, we recognized there was a real need for this work.
